At Spuddy, your safety is our priority. Still, you need to be careful when meeting people online and in person. The tips below are intended to make your experience safer.

---

Online Safety

• Protect your personal information. Do not share your home/work address, financial information (card, IBAN, account), identity details, or daily routine with people you have just met.
• Never send money. Whatever the reason (emergency, investment, tickets, "I'm stranded", etc.), you are advised not to send money to people you meet. Report anyone who asks for money.
• Stay alert to scams. Be suspicious of people who get close very quickly, who want to leave the app immediately and move to another platform, or who never agree to a video call.
• Have a video call before meeting. A video call outside the app before meeting up helps you verify that the other person is real.
• Be careful with links. Do not click links from people you do not know; they may be phishing attempts.
• Report disturbing behavior. If you encounter harassment, threats, inappropriate content, or suspicious behavior, use the "Report" and "Block" functions.

When Meeting in Person

• Have your first meeting in a public place. Choose a busy, well-lit, familiar venue (gym, café, park). Do not go to your home or the other person's home on the first meeting.
• Inform someone close to you. Tell someone you trust who you are meeting, where, and when; share your location.
• Control your own transportation. Get to and from the meeting place by your own means, so you can leave whenever you want.
• Stay in control. Alcohol/drugs impair your judgment and can leave you vulnerable. Know your limits.
• Trust your instincts. If something does not feel right, end the meeting. You never have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.
• Keep an eye on your belongings. Do not leave your drink or your phone unattended.

Sports and Health

• Before starting a new training program, especially if you have a health condition, consult a healthcare professional.
• Know your own limits; progress in moderation to avoid the risk of injury.

Protect Your Account

• Use a strong and unique password; complete your phone verification.
• Never share your password or verification code with anyone. Spuddy will never ask you for your password/code.
• If you notice suspicious activity on your account, report it to [email protected].

Emergencies

If you feel you are in danger or have been the victim of a crime, call your local emergency number (112 in Türkiye) without delay. An in-app report is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement.
